Terms and Conditions
Updated: August 6, 2026
This agreement is between you (the “Client/Student”) and the Philippine Coffee and Barista Institute, Inc. (“we” or “us”). Please review these terms and conditions carefully before registering for our classes or doing business with us. By submitting payment or attending our classes, you confirm that you have reviewed these terms before the course start date and fully agree to them. If you do not agree, do not register for our workshops, or classes, or seek our consulting services.
Agreement
Section 1: About Us
We are a non-profit, non-stock entity registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines. We are a private coffee and barista training company, not a career or vocational school, and do not offer college credit or degrees.
Section 2: Payment & Enrollment
To register for our classes/workshops, you must pay in full (to avail of the discounted tuition fee), or installment (regular tuition fees apply) for the classes you wish to attend and for each attendee. For installment (via cash deposits), your balance should be settled 7 days before the date of the class.
Registrations/payments are accepted via our website, and through our social media platforms. Registration is not complete until payment clears and you receive a confirmation message from us, which can take up to 48 hours.
Section 3: Attendance, Refund & Rescheduling Policy
Please review this policy before registering for our classes. No exceptions will be made. If you disagree, do not register. We do not offer refunds if you or anyone you registered cannot or does not want to attend the class.
If you or anyone you registered does not attend the class and we are not notified 7 days in advance, the registration is forfeited with no refund or rescheduling.
Course materials and access to learning modules are exclusively provided to you when you attend the classes/trainings. This policy ensures that the resources are used as intended and supports the structure of the training, which may include interactive elements, discussions, and hands-on activities that are integral to the learning experience. By attending, you demonstrate your commitment and in return gain access to valuable materials that can support your learning.
To reschedule, notify us and withdraw from the class at least 7 days before it begins. You can then reschedule for a future class with available seats or hold the registration for up to three (3) months. Rescheduling incurs the following fees:
- At least 7 days before the class, or earlier: 15% of the tuition fee
- 3-6 days before the class: 25% of the tuition fee
- 1-2 days before the class: 50% of the tuition fee.
Rescheduling can only be done once. If you miss the rescheduled class, the registration is forfeited with no refund.
Absences resulting from medical emergencies will only be considered upon the submission of a valid medical certificate. Please note that a rescheduling fee will also apply.
If we must postpone or cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances, you can reschedule for a future class with available seats or hold the registration for up to three (3) months. No refunds will be given.
Classes will be automatically cancelled and rescheduled due to severe weather conditions, as stated:
a) Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal #2
b) Marikina Water Level 3rd Alarm Level (18m)
c) Medical emergencies of a Trainer on schedule, and no reliever is available.
Rescheduling fees are waived only if we cancel or postpone the class.
Travel Disruptions Due to Force Majeure
If a participant is unable to attend because of an official government-issued travel suspension (e.g., cancellation of flights or sea travel due to a typhoon or other force majeure event), the registration fee remains non-refundable. However, upon submission of appropriate proof and subject to management approval, the participant may be granted a one-time transfer to a future class with available seats. Any applicable rescheduling fee may be waived at the sole discretion of the Philippine Coffee and Barista Institute.
